S.A.M. AirPark and Runway
The Sacramento Area Modelers club
features one of the premier flying sites on the West Coast, with
a paved access road,
pit area and runway with adjacent grass strip provided for belly landings
and gliders.
We have covered setup areas with electricity to each table, "clubhouse" (The Auger In),
manicured lawns with shade trees, running water and restroom facilities, and a snack bar.
Academy of Model Aeronautics (A.M.A.) membership is required for all flyers unless
accompanied by a
club instructor. Membership in our club is encouraged and a $5.00 day-use
program is available for occasional
users of our site. Sport flying is
permitted seven days a week except during special events and site improvement days.
The flying site for the Sacramento Area Modelers is located at 11000 Florin Road in Sacramento, California.
This is between Excelsior and Eagles Nest on the south side of the road. There ARE signs posted at the gate.
